Hi-Lo: the rules, the edge, and what you actually decide

Guess whether the next card is higher or lower. Build a streak. Each casino publishes the edge for its own version, and results are verifiable, so what's left to decide is where you play and how you size and stop.

01A card is dealt face up.

02Call the next card higher or lower — the odds shown reflect the remaining deck.

03Each correct call compounds your multiplier.

04Cash out whenever, or lose the streak on a wrong call.

Worth knowing

→Calling the obvious side of a 2 or a King is close to a free step, and the multiplier reflects that.

→The compounding is what makes this dangerous — five correct calls feel like a system.

→Same-rank ties are handled differently between operators. Check before you play.

The part no strategy fixes

Whatever edge your casino publishes, the house keeps that share of everything staked, over enough rounds. No bet-sizing pattern changes it, because each round is independent of the last.

What you can control is exposure: session size, a stop, and whether you are staking an amount you would shrug at losing. Treat the rest as entertainment priced at that edge.
