Under the Money Gaming Act in force since 1 January 2019, online casino games may only be offered by Swiss land-based casinos whose concession the Federal Council has extended to online play, with each game approved by the ESBK; large-scale lotteries are reserved to Swisslos and Loterie Romande, which also run the licensed online sports betting, under Gespa's supervision. Sites without Swiss authorisation are blocked.
