How it works in Kenya
Kenya's Gambling Control Act, 2025, in force since 26 August 2025, established the Gambling Regulatory Authority as successor of the Betting Control and Licensing Board and requires an online bookmaker, online lottery or online casino licence from the Authority to offer online gambling in Kenya. Licences issued under the repealed Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act remain valid until they expire.
