Finland is moving from a Veikkaus monopoly to licensed online casino and betting from 1 July 2027.

Veikkaus holds the monopoly until 30 June 2027. The new Gambling Act opens online casino and betting to licensed operators: applications opened on 1 March 2026 and licensed services can start on 1 July 2027. No payment or network blocking is planned for now.
