The Online Casino Gambling Act 2026 creates up to 15 online casino licences. From 1 December 2026 only operators that won the licence auction may serve New Zealanders, and licences are issued from early 2027. Since 28 June 2025, online racing and sports betting has been limited to TAB NZ.
