Online casinos in Louisiana: what the law says
Louisiana allows retail and online sports betting in approved parishes, online casinos are illegal, and Act 182 of 2026 makes dual-currency sweepstakes games illegal gambling by computer from August 1, 2026.
No licensed online casino in Louisiana
Louisiana's regulator lists online casinos as not legal. The Louisiana Gaming Control Board publishes this as 'a list of all licensed wagering platforms in Louisiana', under the heading Sportsbooks, giving each platform's licensed legal entity, d/b/a and licence number. Brands are recorded exactly as the LGCB spells them. The page carries no as-of date and does not name the casino partner each platform operates under; the Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division's monthly 'Sportsbook - Mobile' revenue reports are statewide aggregates with no per-operator split, so no partner mapping is published anywhere by the regulator. Fantasy sports licensees listed on the same page (DraftKings, FanDuel) are excluded. The LGCB still lists ESPN Bet and Twin Spires as licensed platforms; this record reflects the licence list, not observed market activity.
Sports betting is live: the regulator lists 10 online sportsbooks, among them DraftKings, Caesars, FanDuel, BetMGM.
Sweepstakes casinos are banned in Louisiana, so none are listed here. No crypto casino we track accepts US players by its own terms either — 41 of 46 name the United States on their restricted lists.
