Online casinos in Mississippi: what the law says
Mississippi allows sports betting only inside licensed casinos, online casinos are illegal, and the Gaming Commission ordered a major sweepstakes casino operator to stop serving the state in 2025.
No licensed online casino in Mississippi
Mississippi's regulator lists online casinos as not legal. Sports betting is legal but RETAIL ONLY, on casino premises. The Mississippi Gaming Commission's own FAQ states that most any gambling game can be played on a licensed casino floor including wagering on sporting events, and that sports wagering not conducted in a casino is illegal, with online and mobile sports wagering apps specifically identified as illegal. Mobile sports betting bills are filed in volume every year and die on the same fault line: the House passes a bill, the Senate kills it in committee. That happened in 2025 (HB 1302: '02/03 (H) Passed', then '03/04 (S) Died In Committee', http://billstatus.ls.state.ms.us/2025/pdf/history/HB/HB1302.xml) and twice again in 2026 (HB 1581 and HB 4074, both below). No bill would legalise online casino; the only online-gaming bills move the opposite way, extending the criminal gambling prohibition to any online, interactive or computerized version of a game (SB 2104, '03/03 (H) Died In Committee'). Bills listed below are from the 2026 Regular Session, the most recent.
Sweepstakes casinos are banned in Mississippi, so none are listed here. No crypto casino we track accepts US players by its own terms either — 41 of 46 name the United States on their restricted lists.
